Facts

Achieving a countywide home visitation program for older adults and persons with disabilities has been successful. There are a few existing friendly visitor programs in the county, but they are limited in scope and service by their restrictive geographic and eligibility requirements. We began the Friendly Visitor Collaborative to expand and enhance services to Orange County disabled and isolated adults.

Service Record:
Since 2003, over 2,000 visits have been made serving more than 125 frail and isolated adults in Orange County. Currently, 51 active volunteers visit 53 friends/clients each week. Unfortunately there are many friends waiting for a friendly visitor volunteer. Consider joining our Team and see what a difference you can make in someone’s life.
