How Caring Connections Can help

Caring Connections provides Friendly Visitors and training to individuals who volunteer to visit older and disabled adults 18 years and older. Training and support are also offered to faith-based and community organizations to aid in the development and expansion of friendly visitor programs.

Volunteers have an opportunity to become a friendly visitor by sharing one-hour a week with a grateful new friend. Volunteers receive free training and materials. They learn about resources and services that may enhance the lives new friends, as well as develop a support system with other volunteers and staff of the Caring Connections Friendly Visitor Program.

If you would like someone to visit you, contact our Volunteer Coordinator who will fill out an intake form which provides us with information about your interests and hobbies, and we try to match you with someone who has similar interests. If appropriate, we will suggest a visit by our case manager with our Linkages program who would conduct a comprehensive in-home daily living needs assessment to ensure that you are linked to appropriate community service providers.
