Description
The Council on Aging’s ReConnect program provides Orange County’s isolated adults and older adults opportunities to reintegrate into the community by incorporating healthy and meaningful activities to their regular lifestyles. The ReConnect Socialization Services Program is a prevention collaborative funded by the County of Orange Healthcare Agency, Prevention & Intervention Division and delivered in conjunction with MECCA and St. Anselm’s.
Our Goals
The ReConnect program’s goals are:
- To increase participant’s socialization and emotional well-being through consistent exposure to reinforced healthy life patterns, education, and support groups
- To empower Orange County adults and older adults to sustain active and healthy lives.
The ReConnect Program has demonstrated to benefit Orange County adults and older adults by providing:
- Good mental health
- Finding a purpose and remaining productive in later life
- High degree of life satisfaction
- Independent living
- Community Involvement
- Social Connections

The Council on Aging’s ReConnect Program delivers culturally and linguistically competent services to multicultural communities in Orange County. Languages spoken from our staff include:
English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean, Farsi, and Armenian.
